Does anyone still read this thing?

I have been thinking about deleting my blog...
for one, i can never be bothered updating, and two, i feel like i'm talking to myself.
I don't think anyone reads it even when i do update lol Then i thought.. i kinda need it.. to link up my monthly challenge entries.. well when i DO scrap.. and Do participate in the challenges.

So who knows.. maybe i will.. maybe i wont!

SO much has happened since i last blogged, both good and bad!
i wont bore you with ALL of the details, but i can see if i can sum it up quickly and painlessly!

Last month.. I grabbed my friend Helen, and we headed off on a bit of a scrapping holiday!
We went to see THIS Gorgeous Girl.. at the scrapbooking from scratch retreat!
We had a great time, scrapped up a storm, laughed our arses off, and met lots of new scrappy friends!

I actually did alot of scrapping, 53 pages to be exact!
I wont bore you with them all, but for those of you who want to have a look, you can see them all RIGHT HERE

Then all the shit began.. grr...
I think it was some kind of punnishment for going away and having a good time? lol
Jason picks us up in Mildura, we do a spot of shopping, have some lunch and decide to head home..
We get about an hour out of mildura, and the car starts to carry on and blow smoke, go as slow as a snail, and then overheats. Not good. Considering its a hot day! So we think we wont risk it ALL the way home, we will turn back and get someone to look at the car. Not as easy as it sounds. Its a jap import, and the minute i tell them its a hilux surf, no one wants to know about it. Grrr!
So we go to 4 different places before someone even has a good look, finally someone looks at it, but tells us he "thinks" he knows what it is, but he is flat out and cant do it until next week.. yep real handy.. NOT. So we explain we dont live there etc.. so he tells us the best thing to do is to tow the piece of shit home. So finding a way to tow it home also proved to be a pain, so had to call my dear old uncle Gordon and get him to drive from home to pick us up and tow us. But hey.. we got home.

Oh and did i mention that Jasons car was ALREADY dead from a week before we went away.
So at this point we have no cars our of 2, and have to manage to get us both to work. We borrowed cars from everyone here there and everywhere for the last few weeks until Jason got his back. Mine lived at the mechanics for the next few weeks (got it back friday) for him to tell me what i already expected.. its !@@$%@!!  So i'm now the proud owner of a new (second hand!) Kia Carnival!.. Thanks Dad!

 

So apart from that..
3 days after we got home, we were sitting around sweating moaning that it was hot and the aircon didnt seem to feel cool. Not long after we said that we smell a burning smell.. Yuck.. The aircon died too!! So not only were we carless we were airconless too. Bummer.. could things get any worse? ya think?

Yep. They could. a few days after that My mum calls me in tears, to tell me about my dog that i have had for the last 10 years (she still lived with mum) She couldnt walk, and needed my help to take her to the vet. We cried all the way there in the car, and all the way home. It was the saddest thing ever. And at that point we didn't even know she wouldnt be coming home. But you just get THAT feeling i guess. A few hours passed and the vet called.. to say he couldnt save her :( She had a ruptured spleen, and was just bleeding way too much. So i spent the next week crying and down in the dumps about that. Still miss her so much, its so weird going to mums and not having her there to greet you at the gate. RIP Shandi Girl..xox

So.. thats the end of the story i guess.
The kids and i have also been taking turns being sick since i got back, me with 2 lots of tonsilitus, Jaxon with a bad cough (suspected whooping cough, that makes 4 times they have thought the kids have had it this year arrghh) And Jayda with some bug, i know when she is sick because she is sooo quiet!
Thats WHY i haven't been blogging or scrapping. I know there are worse things that could happen.. but as it was all one thing after another.. it kind of got to me, so i was having a feel sorry for myself playing my violin moment or two lol

Trying to force myself into the christmas spirit.
So far we have had our christmas card photo shoot, today i made and got the cards ready for posting(forgot to take photos too doh!). And yesterday we put the tree up and Jayda decorated it. Talk about last minute.. but apart from the kids laybuys.. i dont have a single christmas present yet. oops!

Some Photos..

We had a little trip to Silverton again this weekend.
We checked out all the usual stuff, and took some kites and tennis rackets with us, and spent most of the day there. All though i think somewhere in the middle of the game i got de-moted to ball Boy! because all i remember doing was looking for balls under bushes that were covered in big.. no HUGEEEEE scary ants. The kids checked out the Mad Max car again at the Pub, and we stopped for a drink, and i got them to pose for some photos for me. I love how they turned out too.

Major Update.

I needed to update bad, but life gets int he way as you know, especioally over the silly season!
So here is my update.. mostly in photos!

The kids schools both had a float int he local xmas pageant, so Jaxon was an Elf, and Jayda a christmas fairy. Jaxon sat on the truck with his friends waving, and Jayda almost hung out of their little truck waving at everyone and yelling merry christmas!!!

Christmas day..
lots of pressies int he morning.
Including a guitar and keyboard set for Jayda, a leapster system and a cubby house.
And for Jaxon, Guitar Hero, and Singstar Abba! and a DS lite.
Though Jason has more fun with the guitar hero!!
Christmas lunch at mums then house hopping over to Helen and Craigs for dinner.

i give in and let him get one.
i figure it will grow out before school goes back ( i hope)

Yesterday..
Jayda got her ears pierced!
she kept asking, and asking and even though i told her it would hurt, she wouldn't back down. She picked out a nice gold pair and was really brave, no tears, just an "ouch that hurt!" She's been glued to the mirror ever since. Also, just for Nikki, here is a pic of Jayda's hair, its getting so long now.

My christmas pressie from Jason..
yep i finally got it. I was brave too, he told me i wasn't allowed to cry and embarass him lol SO i sat through it for a full hour without even saying ouch! It actually didn't hurt as much as i was expecting. (on my Lower back)

And he got these flames..
they look way better in person, but because he wont co-operate it was hard to get a good pic! this makes number 9 for him!

Back Again!!?

i'm back again..
can't get out to scrap as miss Jayda needs me, shes having a bit of a coughing fit.

Can you believe she will be 4 in less than a month! where did my baby go!

Here is a layout i did today, again using Bon's Girl Kit, i'm now addicted to butterflies and i bought myself a butterfly punch yesterday!

And this is a card i whipped up last night for my mums friend, she called me to see if i could make one for her daughter as she couldn't find any nice ones.. again using papers from the girl kit! and the funky bracket is made by A2Z Scraplets :)

I didn't scrap a single thing all weekend, but i did teach the RIBBONS ROCK online class at PurpleScraps.

My pantrys are here! They arrived last Wednesday and ever since we have been re arraning the kitchen and other parts of the house. We have had a good old clean up and got rid of alot of clutter too, so it feels good.
When we went to pick them up from the shop, they were selling a sidebaord and hutch, a pine one. It was really nice and i have been drooling over similar ones for years. So we bought it! Yep! It looks a little bare right now, we realised that we only own 4 glasses and almost everything else we had was plastic! oops. Probably a good thing we don;t have visitors very often, though we do have plenty of cofee cups, i downsized those.. some accidentally lol.

And here is Jayda posing for all my pics, she did make me "wear" the binoculars while she took my pic too, but you wont be seeing those ones lol

Scrapping...
Here are some layouts from the weekend.
1. For my friend Chelle & her daughter, i just love this pic of them.
2. These are the letters i received back from our altered letter swap at PurpleScraps. Hubby made me this paper rack when i first started scrapping, now i need it to be about 10 times as tall lol.
3. My Blind Scrapping Layout i did on Friday night for PurpleScraps.
4. This is for the July 123 challenge, you had to use- string as a border, pink/orange/green/red colour combo, and stamping. I was a bit worried when i read the colour combo! but they seem to go well together.
5. This one was for my friend Stace of her little one cooking up a storm, almost wanted to keep it for myself!
6. This is Jaxons backyard motorcross track that he and Jas made a few weeks ago! all i can say is lucky we dont have any grass! This was for the Take 5 Challenge @ PurpleScraps.

Howdy!

I'm Back :)
i did a little more scrapping this weekend, but however! not as much as i would have liked. Good thing its school holidays, i have some new paints for the kids so i can set them up to play picaso while i do some scrapping :)

Heres my stuff from the weekend, you can check them out in my album too for a better look.

We took the kids to one of the ovals today to kick the footy around, Jaxon is starting to kick it really well now and has been into watching footy with Grandpa on a Friday night. He has asked if he can play footy again, so might be something to look into for next year and this years footy season is almost over. (which also means my work at the footy club will be over soon :( i will miss the extra $$) Not to feel left out, Jayda has her own mini pink footy, which we aren't allowed to kick, touch, or even look at the wrong way! she runs around with it in her arms and we have to chase her.. but she wont part with the ball!!

The Weekend..

Jason had the weekend off again, its been nice and we have made it a bit of a thing, to take the kids to the park for the day. So we have been checking out all the different parks and of course i have to take my camera and take way too many photos. Here are some from this weekend.

This is the last week of school then its 2 weeks holidays! I'm looking forward to the sleep ins and no moring rush around searching for the missing left shoes and so on! Heres hoping they don't spend the next 2 weeks fighting like they did yesterday! Jaxon was home from school for the last 2 days because he hasn't been well, but was good today and wanted to go to school, so off he went. Peace.. well if you can call Watching Alice in Wonderland for the ten millionth time peacefull..

My new pantry's should be arriving today. I am so looking forward to packing all my food in there safe from those Mice!!!!!!!!!

Hmm Typepad had changed and i'm not quite sure how to work things atm.

 Some highlights..

• A $100 note! needed a pic before we spent it, they don;t last too long!
• Been riding again, this time Jason did a jump and broke something on his bake! thats what he gets for showing off, now we are waiting for a new part from the states. Jaxon is way too big for his peewee, so we are looking for an 80cc for him to upgrade to.
• Jayda hasn't ridden her bike for quite a while now, its so loud and she is scared of it, so she is happy to just sit on the quad and let me chauffer her around!
• I have done quite a bit of scrapping lately, I decided to close my online store about 2 weeks ago, so Scrappin' Hill is no more. So I will sell of what stock i have left at the local markets and craft fairs, and then thats it for me. I'm looking forward to doing lots of shopping with some of the other cool online stores that are around. I will now have more time to scrap for myself,  and the 100 years worth of photos that Nan just give me!
•  I have to say i love a challenge, especially a sketch challenge too. SO i have been entering a few diff challenges around the place, its what kicks my mojo up the butt for sure.
• we recently went tot he park and attempted to get some family photos, and like always they were a bit of a disater, but he had fun int he meantime!
• The kids are going great, fighting so much lately and driving me nuts, but every assures me this is normal and thats what kids do. I never had anyone to fight with, so i guess i wouldn't know lol
• My AIN course is almost over, just 2 more months to go until i graduate!. My work placement is coming up soon, i'm a little nervous about it, but i am sure i will like it once i get there.. i hope..
• We have been having a major prob with mice lately, the grubby little you know whats, are into everything, and i have been totally paranoid and washing everything like crazy before i used it, locking the food away like fort knox in plastic containers that houdini wouldn't be able to escape from, yep! i'm going to extremes! We have ordered  a pantry and a cupboard for my pots and pans, so i will be able to sleep at night and not feel the need to go on a killing spree! I wish the would hurry up!!
• Oh the last line of pics on the collage.. Jason fell asleep and Jayda decided to make his hair pretty!.. In the words of Borat.. Very nice ;)
• Purplescraps Have so many things happening lately, its been awesome and very inspiring. I'm Back! With Photos!

Firstly, i hope everyone had a great Mothersday!
Mine was good. Despite getting covered in red dirt and sunburnt and having a did-i-shit-my-pants moment with an emu and a quad bike! After that everything was smooth sailing!

The kids woke me up to give me pressies, a cute necklace they had picked out, with 2 hearts on it ( one for each of them), then a PINK stripey jumper with a hood! So i look lovely in that as you can imagine, and they made a point of telling me all day that i looked beautiful in my new jumper!! It was so cute.

They then talked me into going motorbike riding, so we were out for over 3 hours, this is where the sunburn part comes into it! Ouch. Once the mx mayhem was over and i showed the kids how to do a mean donut! We were off to Mums to have dinner with her and Nana.

While mum was cleaning out Nans place today, she sent Jayda home in a hula costume! that was mine when i was about 3, mum and dad went to fiji (without me!) and bought it home for me, mum wanted pics of Jayda in it today, and they came out quite cute.

Also here is an update on my toothless boy!
His teeth keep falling out and he is sending the tooth fairy broke!
He is still motorbike crazy and has us video taping and taking photos of his "tricks" Like no footers and one footers and the other ones that he makes up. He is going to be the next crusty demon! you just ask him! He will tell you. He actually stacked a jump on sunday and broke his helmet! Time to get him a new one i think,t hey are only good for one decent stack and he has had about 3 now. You would think it would scare him into backing off a little, but it hasn't!
